The Jewish National Fund-USA-supported organization HUBayta-Back to the Galilee announced an expansion with Genpact, an advanced technology services and solutions company. The expansion comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Israel’s northern communities and create opportunities for the next generation.
Genpact, which operates out of the HUBayta hub, is recruiting 52 junior technology professionals for positions based just three miles from Israel’s border with Lebanon, aiming to bring new career opportunities to the region.
More than 900 people applied within days, demonstrating the strong demand among young professionals for career opportunities in Israel’s north. 35 candidates have already been accepted, with an additional round of interviews planned to complete recruitment for all 52 positions.
“The region has not seen a recruitment drive of this scale for high-quality technology positions in more than 17 years, and it’s happening despite a recent war,” said Nisan Zeevi, founder of HUBayta. “While technology companies in Tel Aviv are laying off employees, the Galilee is hiring.”
The initiative reflects Jewish National Fund-USA’s long-term commitment to strengthening Israel’s northern communities by helping create the infrastructure, employment opportunities and quality of life needed for families to put down roots and thrive. The recruitment campaign is being led collaboratively by HUBayta and the Jewish National Fund-USA-supported Lauder Employment Center in the Galilee, working together with municipalities, academic institutions and employment organizations across the region to reach job seekers and connect local talent with these new opportunities.
In its first year, HUBayta attracted 21 companies and helped create approximately 150 jobs. With Genpact’s expansion, the hub has now reached 100% occupancy, highlighting both the demand for its model and the need for additional capacity. Genpact’s expansion underscores HUBayta’s model of combining high-quality offices and physical infrastructure with dedicated human-capital recruitment services, giving companies the resources they need to establish operations, recruit talent and grow in the Galilee.
“For communities along the northern border, these jobs provide young people and families with a real reason to remain in or return to the region,” added Zeevi. “That is how we advance our larger mission.”
