The Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center (Levis JCC) is undergoing a $9 million renovation of its 31,000-square-foot main building on the Toby & Leon Cooperman Campus, which is part of the 100-acre Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County campus. The project follows the purchase of the building from the Federation earlier this year, a milestone that provided a permanent home for the organization and positioned it for continued growth.
Since 1983, the Levis JCC has served as a hub for Jewish life and engagement. Its programs span early childhood education, summer camp, cultural arts, special needs services, wellness, community programming and opportunities for people of all ages to gather, learn and grow.
The investment supports long-term growth and continued service to the community. Once complete, the reimagined space will provide a more modern, accessible and welcoming community center designed to serve individuals and families for generations to come.
“Purchasing our building and beginning this renovation are significant steps for the Levis JCC, but this is about much more than the building itself,” said Marty Haberer, president and CEO of the Levis JCC. “It’s about creating a permanent home that reflects the strength of our community and everything we believe is possible for its future.”
The renovation is part of the Levis JCC’s Elevating Our Future Capital Campaign and advances the vision for a center that meets the evolving needs of Boca Raton and surrounding areas. Completion is expected this fall, with a grand reopening event planned for early December.
“This next chapter reflects the commitment of our leadership, donors, staff and partners, whose support has helped bring this vision to life,” said Mark Gotlieb, board chair of the Levis JCC. “There is tremendous excitement around what this will mean for our members, families and everyone who walks through our doors.”
The Levis JCC’s programs and services will continue throughout construction with temporary adjustments.
